The Brief

Vitamin Sea began as a certification concept — a self-directed brief where I built an entire brand world from nothing. No client. No guardrails. Just a question: what would a luxury wellness destination look like if the ocean itself were the active ingredient?


Set in the Maldives, Vitamin Sea was designed for the traveler who has everything except stillness. The challenge was to create a brand identity that could hold both the vastness of the ocean and the intimacy of a single breath.

Brand Strategy & Positioning

I defined the full business scope, identified the target guest, established competitive positioning, developed the color story, and built a complete visual identity system from the ground up.
 

Target Guest: The wellness-forward luxury traveler who chooses experiences that nourish the body and quiet the mind. She's stayed at Joali. She buys Herbivore. She doesn't want a spa menu — she wants a reason to exhale.


Brand Positioning: Where most luxury spas sell escape, Vitamin Sea sells return — to stillness, to self, to the version of you that existed before the noise.
 

Brand Idea: The sea is the treatment.

In keeping with Vitamin Sea's commitment to conscious luxury, all guest-facing collateral was designed for digital delivery — eliminating paper waste without sacrificing the elevated brand experience.

Visual Identity

The color story was pulled directly from the Maldivian environment — the precise teal of shallow water at midday, deep oceanic blue at dusk, warm sand, and the white that only exists where light meets water. This is not a spa-beige brand. The palette is confident, alive, and deeply specific.


Typography mirrors the brand tension — structured sans-serif for clarity and authority, expressive script for warmth and movement. You arrive with a schedule. You leave with a rhythm.

Digital Brand Strategy — Social Presence

A brand's Instagram grid is its most democratic touchpoint — visible to anyone, requiring nothing but a follow. For Vitamin Sea, the grid needed to do what the Maldives itself does: slow you down before you even realize it's happening.


The feed alternates between full-color and grayscale imagery by design. Color creates desire — it pulls the eye in and makes the viewer want to step inside the frame. Grayscale quiets the nervous system, giving the eye permission to rest. Together they engineer a scroll experience that mirrors the Vitamin Sea guest journey: arrive stimulated, leave restored.


Content pillars across the grid capture environment, treatment, cuisine, and lifestyle — communicating the full brand world in nine frames.

What This Demonstrates

Vitamin Sea shows what happens when brand strategy and visual direction work as one discipline. Built entirely from a single organizing idea, this concept required consumer insight, positioning strategy, visual language, and a full suite of touchpoints — the same work I bring to every clean beauty and wellness brand I partner with.
